A big cheery ‘Hi’ to you all
I hope whatever you are doing, that your week is going well, fun-packed and interesting, with if any, a minimal amount of stress. I also hope you are keeping free of the nasty stomach and flu bugs that seem to be doing the rounds again!!
Early Sunday evening I was having tea with my son and daughter-in-law, the topic of discussion at the time being films.
Stuey: “Right Mum, do you fancy going to see ‘The Last Jedi’ with me on Tuesday night?”
Me: “Wow! Yes of course I do. That’s great Stuey!”
Stuey: “Ah, but…only if it’s raining or snowing! If it’s fine I’ve got a tennis match”
Bloody hell! Talk about lighting a bonfire and then pissing on it!!!!!!
Okay, so I don’t pray, right?? I don’t believe, ergo…I don’t pray!! So how come I spent all day Monday and Tuesday praying for rain or snow before evening arrived??? I just didn’t want him to play tennis! I needed him to take me to see ‘The Last Jedi’. I really needed to see it!!! However, non-believer that I am, my prayers were answered! By 3pm Tuesday afternoon it was sleeting light sabers!!! One only needs to pray to the right gang…and Leia, Han, Luke, Obi Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Rey, Finn and Poe came up trumps!!! I got the call off Stuey at 5.15pm!
Stuey: “Can you be ready for 6.45pm, Mum?”
Me: “Too bloody right, I can! Don’t be late!” (He usually is!)
Okay, I got to see ‘The Last Jedi’! Don’t worry, no spoilers from me, just in case there are some of you who have not seen the film yet. All I can say is…what a fantastic film!!! Also, I was totally wrong with my prediction as to Rey’s parents… but I can’t be right all the time! They’ve introduced some interesting new critters as well! Awwww! Cuteness overload, so beware!! I can’t wait for episode IX but in the mean time I’ll wait for TLJ to be released on DVD to help keep the withdrawal symptoms at bay!!! Thank you Stuey for taking me! Best Tuesday night I’ve spent in months!!!
For those who have yet to see this latest epic in the Star Wars series…hurry up while it’s still on the big screen!!!
