Hi folks
Well it’s been a very busy but interesting week!
I’ve got a few more Christmas presents bought, online though that was! Somehow, I’m liking this online shopping! But I do have to go out for a couple of days to finish off the prezzie shopping, which I will do with my daughter over the next three weeks or so. I love the atmosphere of the shops for the last couple of weeks before Christmas. Christmas songs playing, the smell of mulled wine and mince pies, the festive cheer…and everyone seems so much nicer when Christmas is just around the corner. It’s such a pity that people can’t be nicer to each other all year round!
Yesterday I decorated my Christmas tree and started doing one or two festive jobs in between writing a little bit of poetry and doing some long overdue tweeting.
I had my eldest grandson and seven year old granddaughter to stay last night. They were not a minute’s bother as usual.
Today I decided to make a few cottage pies for the freezer! Hmmm…I should have checked the freezer first! I ended up having to discard a few things just so I could make room for the pies! Freezers are meant to be about saving money aren’t they...and NOT chucking stuff out and wasting it instead!! Lesson learned!
The highlight of my weekend has been hearing from an author friend who I hadn’t heard from in over a year and I was worried about her to say the least! However, she is well and back in touch so that has made me extremely happy!! Missed her soooo much!
