ANGEL ON EARTH

I didn’t want to come here

but Mother Angel told me to try

So I lay down my wings

and left my home in the sky

I did my best to be like them

there, in my disguise

But oh, it was hard to smile

through the fakeness and the lies

I thought I had found an angel

someone as pure as me

But he was just like the others

his spirit wasn’t free

I let him love me, I let him leave

I opened my heart to the pain

I tried to learn to be tough

But I fear it was all in vain

Oh, Mother Angel, when can I come home?

I’m longing for purity and love

Let me put my wings back on

and return up high and above

Each and every day with you

is like a wonder coming true
